Melissa and Dustin’s French Quarter Wedding
April 15, 2009I finally returned to New Orleans! My last visit to NOLA was before Hurricane Ivan in 2004. It is home to some of my favorite memories, including a few National Championships (go SEC!), Jazz Fest every spring, and good times with friends.
On my most recent trip, I had the pleasure of collaborating with two wonderful friends (Jeanette Chisolm and Shawn of Gypsy Isle Photography) to photograph Melissa and Dustin’s heartfelt, picturesque wedding. The ceremony was held in the Saint Louise Cathedral with reception at Muriel’s. My deepest gratitude Jeanette and Shawn for taking me back to the sights, sounds and smells of the capital of Cajun cuisine:) I would not have wanted to be stuck behind an impromptu parade, while the bride is at the church, with any one else. ( next blog:)
Melissa and Dustin you are amazing. First, thank you for serving our country. May God keep you safe. Second, thank you for a wonderful experience and for your gracious hospitality as our team of photographers became your shadows on this perfect day. The wedding was truly a photographer’s dream wedding – a beautiful experience with great people. Your family and friends were especially kind. I can see why Jeanette loves all of you.
Thank you for your patience while I finish construction on my new blog. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. Please check back soon, as I have more pictures to add to this post.

Jeanette: Chyrel! These are amazing! I am soooo glad you and Shawn were there to get all of these shots I didn't! LOVE that you got some of Dustin beforehand, too! Thanks for doing such an awesome job!
